Haagen Dazs

CHOCOLATE FONDUE

Chocolate fondue is a famous “cuisine” in Haagen Dazs and people try them because it’s very special in the first sight. You often seen people dipping breads in melting cheese during winter and while that is impratical here in Malaysia, dipping ice cream balls in melting chocolate is definitely more for our temperament, especially a dessert and ice cream lover like me. A deluxe combination of smooth Häagen-dazs ice cream, fresh fruits and delicate pastries, dipped in hot dark chocolate sauce, is presented as the Häagen-dazs Northern European Ice Cream Fondue. The unique combination will render you with the Nordic romance and happiness.
It comes with
  • Classic ice cream: Vanilla, Belgian Chocolate,
Strawberry, Cookies & Cream, Mango Passion
      Fruit & Green Tea
  •  Pastries: Honey Fruit Cookie, Butter Cookie,
      Marshmallow and Honey Cake
  • Fruits: Peach, Strawberry, Kiwi Fruit, Blueberry
  • Coating: Classic Dark Chocolatebutter cake

After all, who can't say no to desserts? :p

Levain Boulangerie Patisserie

A very fussy bread lover, I was most excited when I first heard of this place. Many thanks to my boyfriend for the specific directions! This is a popular shop that located in KL. I believe that everyone has heard about this shop. It’s poshy name matches it’s interior. The bungalow that houses Levain Boulangerie Patisserie is really beautiful, classy and cozy. I love the spaces they have and the high ceiling with aristocratic feel. It is a warm and delightful French mixed English style bakery shop with a comfortable atmosphere. Fresh breads and pastries are baked in a traditional stone oven which imparts a unique flavor and texture to the breads and pastries. You definitely can smell the savory taste from the kitchen. The queues attest to its popularity. It may have been mid-afternoon when I went, but I was still required to wait 20 minutes for a table.

The range and diversity of their breads, pastries, sandwiches and cakes were awesomely impressive. The cakes are awesomely delicious, they uses pure dark chocolate with crunchy chocolate chips which are not very sweet to make their black forest cake (on the left) and freshly picked sweet strawberries with white chocolate coated with “pandan” to match the flavor of the sour-sweet strawberry.

A macaroon is a sweet confectionary. Macaroons are very, or some of them may be said extremely sweet. For me, the macaroons in Levain are not that sweet. They taste nice than other shops and the ones in Harold (United Kingdom). The outer layer was slightly crunchy as it was a biscuit and follow by soft inner layer.

The Maple French Toast (RM4.80) was really good, & it helped that I got mine piping hot out of the kitchen as people are queuing for it. The crisp exterior went wonderfully with it’s maple syrup inside which you can hardly find these extraordinary french toast in Malaysia. The baby butter croissants was flaky & buttery as how it should be for RM1.50 each. They are extremely pleasant to taste.

They garnished the bread with fruits. It is scrumptious. Classic Fruit Tart (RM3.80 on the left) was the best among those different fruit tarts. It was sooooooo creamy and the fruits were sweet and juicy. Words just couldn’t describe how good are they in my mouth. My friend’s banana cheese tart (RM4.30 on the right) was alright, but I certainly hope they could use FRESH bananas instead of the preserved ones!!!!!
Over the nutshell, it was very obvious that the kitchen got it’s TECHNIQUES and SKILLS with their fresh ingredients right. All the buns were deliciously fluffy and soft.  I really wondered how that’s achieved! The crusty breads and puffs were nicely crusty without being too hard and it’s insides soft & chewy. I PERSONALLY opined that Levain Boulangerie and Patisserie is one of the best bakeries in town and definitely a paradise for us to enjoy our meal. For sure, prices do make a difference.

Hello my lovely yummy fluffy sweet tooth peeps !

So this is how it looks like from the outside. This outlet is placed at Kota Damansara, which is not far from my staying place. I do go to One Utama ones too, and I knew they have a lot more branches out there. Therefore dont worry if you're not staying somewhere around Kota Damansara, it is still very convenient for you to try it out somewhere nearby your place.

Once I get in there,
I can see wallposts such as these :

THE HEALTH BENEFITS

WHAT'S TUTTI FRUTTI ?

STEPS TO ORDER

As you can see, this yogurt can actually benefits you so much that it prevents you from getting all kind of sickness and it improves your mineral absorption. Not only that, it is also LOW IN FAT, LOW IN CALORIE and HIGH IN CALCIUM, Mostly it smooths out your digestive system by promoting HEALTHY BACTERIA and prevents you from HARMFUL BACTERIA.

Moreover, I love the how they charge us on these yogurts. Basically they are charging based on weight, so YOU ONLY PAY FOR WHAT YOU TAKE. Isn't it fair? The price range is RM5.30 per 100g, which is reasonable since it is so beneficial for our body. It is also ok if you take under 100g, they will charge according to their price. :)

Below shown are the machines where the yogurts are stored inside. There are different type of flavours in each machine. So it depends on what flavour you want and how much you want it.
First you have to take a cup and put it underneath the machine. then press on the handle.
In a second the yogurt will flow out just as the MCDONALD'S ICE CREAM!

So what are you waiting for? HAVE FUN "SQUEEZING" THEM OUT!

After you have chosen your favourable choice of yogurt, GUESS WHAT?

YOU CAN ALSO ADD TOPPINGS!

Whisk, Outpost.

Hi there, few days ago i went to Whisk, Outpost which is located at One Utama too. If you are not familiar to One Utama, no worries! They have another branch at Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang Jaya. I knew about this shop because my friend recommended it to me and told me their macaroons are delicious. So, i went and checked it out. Have you heard of Wondermilk before? If yes, Whisk is very much the same as Wondermilk. It gives you the same feel when you are at Whisk, relaxing and peaceful. Mostly teenagers and adults like hanging around shops like these because it has teas ,coffees and desserts for them to enjoy while they are chit chatting or a place for them to chill in peace. The bad thing about this shop is i was having hard time to find it! It is located quite corner of the mall. It is same roll as Bobbi Brown and opposite Candylicious. Hope it gives you a head up before you have trouble in finding the shop!

This is how the outside of the shop looks like . Are you wondering why do they have Outpost after the Whisk? I, myself am also wondering why too but answer is no where to be found unless we ask the owner. Sadly, the owner wasn't there. The shop is quite small, so, not many tables could be set in the shop. As you see, there are some tables and chairs outside the shop. When i went there, inside was packed and i have to sit outside with my friends because i kept on insisting to try their macaroons!

and they like to doodle on the glasses of the shop .

Macaroons! I personally love macaroons a lot, so i am always on macaroons hunting. I've tried their Salted Caramel, Strawberry Shortcakes, Rose and Chocolate macaroons. I would say i prefer their Chocolate macaroon the most because the filling of the macaroon is also chocolate and so the taste of the macaroon is really concentrated chocolate and i love it that way! :) The Rose macaroon does not really have the scent of the rose so you couldn't really taste anything but just the sweetness of the sugar. As for the Salted Caramel and Strawberry Shortcakes, i think they are okay even though caramel essence wasn't strong enough but it has the saltiness in it and you wouldn't be bored of it while eating it because its not only sweetness that you could taste. The macaroon in only RM 2.20 for a piece and RM 20 for 10 pieces. Really cheap compare to many shops that sell macaroons, that would normally cost about RM 3.00 ++ to RM 5.00 a piece!

Rose, Strawberry Shortcakes, Chocolate and Salted Caramel macaroons that i tried !

They don't only sell macaroons, they also sell Red Velvet cake, Machochino Con La Nutella cake and many other cakes about RM 11.90 a piece and really big slice too! They sell Chocolate cupcakes too about RM4.90 a piece.  Reasonable prices!

Let's go to SWEET HUT@Setapak

Hey guy, I want to show you another kind of dessert now.

One of the best dessert house in town I known so far is Sweet Hut(Yea~is Sweet Hut not Pizza Hut). A Hong Kong based dessert is famous for their varieties. The name "Sweet Hut" is come from the homonyms of "Sweet Heart". By using this name, they are trying to tell everyone that their shop is filled with desserts by the word Sweet and also a lovely and comfortable ambience that cover with "Hearts" which is suitable for couples and desserts lover. They are recruited Andy (their desserts chef) from Hong Kong. He is a desserts chef who has more than 20 years experiences in making desserts. Sweet hut hailed from many difference countries like Italy, France, Spain, Hong Kong, Malaysia and more. More fusion dessert and many varieties are available at Sweet Hut Cafe.
I feel like they have 101 types of desserts in their menu! The worst part is all the desserts are so attractive and delicious which you wish to try ALL of them. The best part of the Sweet Hut for me is they provide a cup of water to their customer to neutralize the sweetness in our mouth. That is very thoughtful.

Chocolate Ice Cream Soft

Another popular dessert at Sweet Hut, the ice is really soft and smooth, its is layer by layer. The taste is good and it's refreshing instead of heavy. Much like spring roll as decoration, it is actually sweet chocolate roll to combine with icy cold chocolate shaved ice. This chocolate shave ice is sweet until the moment you swallow the whole thing in your stomach. It's cost RM 9.90.

Caramel Pudding Coconut

On top ,fill with rich and sweet creamy caramel pudding and delicious tropical fruits. Inside, the juicy and young coconut contains the sweet and refreshing coconut crystal jelly and delicious coconut meat.
Coconut pudding is little bit tasteless, but the caramel milk really taste good when putting into my mouth. I love sweet, so I love the caramel milk most. The dessert as you could see in the picture above was most of the edible part made from coconut and caramel. It's cost RM 12.80.

Mango Jelly Extra Chocolate

I was a bit disappointed to this drink. The taste of the chocolate is bitter. I think I will feel it not nice is because I don't like bitter. But the mango jelly very nice. I didn't finish this drink and I feel I'm so waste. =(
This mango jelly extra chocolate is cost RM 6.80.

Cookies Ice Cream Soft

This is a awesome dessert. I damn like this Cookies Ice Cream because the milk got a bit taste like soya bean. When I ate the cookies ice cream, I feel very happy because I very like to eat cookies ice cream. Beside the ice cream is jelly and the jelly are soft. This awesome Cookies Ice Cream dessert just cost RM6.90.

SO GUYS? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? LET'S GO TO SWEET HUT NOW!!!

Molten Lava

Hey guys, so recently i went to Molten Lava with my friends. This is my second time going to this shop. I would seriously ask you to try out their churros! I had tried them yesterday, it definitely gave me a heavenly feeling while eating it. Well, of course you have to be dessert lover to have that feeling. Anyway, the shop is located at One Utama and you wouldn't have problem finding the shop. It's just next to Shihlin and oppostite Coldstorage

Here is a peep how the shop looks like! The shop is quite small, but it is a place you should really hangout with your friends. Anyway, the shop is owned by a young couple. They were there with their child and parent when i was there checking out the place with my friends. They are really friendly too. I would add points to the shop with such good impression.

Yes, they sell macaroons too! Its about Rm 3.00 for a piece. They really have multiple of flavors, i had counted them, about 20 flavors! I mean WOAHH, they have so many choices for you to choose! you will seriously have dilemma while choosing which flavor to eat! As i said, i went to this shop for twice already. The first time i went, i tried a few flavors of their macaroons. Rose, Green Tea and Vanilla flavors. I like the rose the most because the taste and smell of the rose is there, the sweet scent. For me, i don't really like their green tea flavor because there isn't any green tea flavor at all. All i could taste was just sweetness. The Vanilla wasn't too bad too but just lack of vanilla essence, the taste of vanilla wasn't quite strong though. I would rate their macaroons 6 out of 10.

Here are some of the flavor of the macaroons that i could remember of :

  • Lemon
  • Blackcurrant
  • Orange chocolate
  • Raspberry
  • Chocolate Ganache
  • Salted Caramel
  • Espresso
  • Passion fruit
  • Mint White Chocolate
  • Pistachio
  • Hazelnut Praline
  • Black Sesame

Hope it helps ! so it wouldn't give you dilemma when you are choosing the flavors!

These are the pictures of the churros i ate yesterday ! It called Molten Chocolate Lava Dip and it cost about  RM5.80. I think the price is reasonable for it taste. The both end of the churros are really crispy that my friends and I were practically fighting over the side of the churros! The inside of the churros wasn't too soft or too hard, it was just right. I would rate this dessert 8 out of 10.

The dip tastes a bit like Nutella ! I am not even kidding with you, i finished the whole dip with the last bite of my churros. Fattening but totally worth it! Feel like trying huh? ;)

This was hanged on the wall at the end of the shop :) Colorful and attracts people's attention! They have a lot other desserts like funnel cake, waffle etc etc.

Basically i would rate the shop 8/10.
